Cayo Saetia, a 42 square kilometre island, was originally set up as a retreat for busy Cubans to relax. The island is now open to foreigners wishing to escape from the ratrace and relax in simple and natural surroundings. The island only has 12 bedrooms in cabins set out in natural surroundings around a central bar and restaurant. The island has been set up as a "Safari" and it is possible to see zebras, gazelles, Kudo and some other African wildlife species. Horse riding and jeep safaris can be arranged on the island. A short drive from the hotel is a beach with a "Robinson Crusoe" style restaurant and bar, ideal for relaxing during your stay. The hotel restaurant normally serves game from the island reserve.
