ALL food and drink is included duringyour stay at Sol Club. Sol Club Hotel is set on a 25km white sandy beach with clear warm water fro swimming and snorkelling. There is coral within a short swim of the beach for seeing plenty of fish, lobsters, octopus and other marine life. At night you can walk along the beach and find large green turtles laying their eggs on the beach. The nightlife in the hotel is, as you would expect limited, however in the Marina a ten-minute bus ride away is a lively local bar with music and dancing. The fishing in Cayo Largo is amongst the best in the Caribbean. There are excellent saltwater flats for bonefishing, and catching permit, jack cravelle and many other shallow water predators. There are deeper channels for catching Tarpon, growing up to well over 100 lbs. Between the beach and the coral reefs south of the island are plenty of barracuda, snapper, grouper and other reef dwelling fish. After the coral reef there is a deep drop off and all the deep sea predators can be caught including kingfish, Spanish mackerel, wahoo, dorado (mahi mahi), sailfish, marlin, tuna, jack, and many more 10.00am Depart for the first days fishing, (tips and drinks on the fishing boat paid locally). Return to the hotel at whatever time suits everyone. |

As an option we can also rent another fishing boat for those that want to leave earlier and do some serious fishing. Salt water fly fishing is available in most places in Cayo Largo, so there will be opportunities to catch bonefish and other fish on 5.30pm Return to the Marina in time for sundowners at El Pirata Bar and watch the sun set. Either we could cook up any fish caught today at El Pirata or return to the Sol Club for dinner. Overnight at Sol Club Cayo Largo Hotel |
